 |
August 27, 2004 >> Ann Street Plaza |

This festival is held at the North entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We drove out with U.P.
songwriter Erik Koskinen
& got to play during his set which was a genuine shack-shaker.
Catie Curtis also invited us
onstage to join her for a few tunes.

Just as students were returning to the town east of us, we hosted a show
downtown East Lansing. After a summer on the road, it's nice to come home and
realize that you really like being on the road...

In July, we played two nights in Traverse with our good friends from Winnipeg,
the Duhks.
We met these folks at various fests & conferences around the country.
They certainly do enjoy coming to Michigan as much as we enjoy having them.

It was a pleasure and honor to play the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Besides
it hailing on us & the crowd, we had a great time. After both of our sets on
Thursday, we got to kick back and watch four days of some of our favorites artists at work.

I grew up hearing Mountain Stage on WDET in Detroit & have always wanted to
play the show. We shared the night with Bernie Leadon, Eric Taylor, Ann McCue &
Jeffrey Joe Buckland. We had a great time & were asked to play the Mountain

Polaroids from the road... |

After opening for Greg Brown at Interlochen's Corson Auditorium, we headed out
to open mic night at The Union Street Station
in Traverse City. We've played a few songs & shows with Greg in the past, but
never before under such rowdy conditions.

A few snapshots from the van, the stage and the Red
Roof Inn. The details are fuzzy, & we didn't bother with photographer credits.
Momma don't take my Kodachrome away.
